Well, a new website will be launching on Monday which will help you get even more stuff free. Specifically, the website will allow you to search for free shipping deals on Amazon, eBay, and at over 500 other stores. Parrot DF7220 Wireless Digital Photo Frame

Parrot DF7220 Wireless Digital Photo Frame

We’ve reported on Parrot products before, especially with their new lineup at CES. I was greatly impressed with their new line of picture frames, and I finally had a chance to try out one of their newest: the DF7220. The DF7220 is a complex piece of hardware, yet is simple to use. All I had to was plug the frame in an ordinary wall outlet, and it was ready to download pictures. Then I plugged in the USB into frame and transferred the files from a computer with a simple Cut and Paste procedure. There is also the option of downloading via Bluetooth from a mobile phone or camera. According to the official record of the product, the frame can hold 300 photos. LINC Concept Phone Built to Evolve

LINC Concept Phone Built to Evolve
The proposed LINC phone is an intriguing concept to parse, as it makes claims to both technological and ecological superiority. Basic idea is that you lease your phone instead of owning it. After a year, you send your current handset back to LINC, which builds the phones for easy, automated disassembly to simplify component recycling. You get a sparkly new phone with the latest features and your account settings already transferred. The anti-obsolescence insurance will no doubt be reassuring to geeks, and the built-for-recycling aspect is certainly laudable. (Read the full post about ‘LINC Concept Phone Built to Evolve’…)

Refurbished Apple Gear is Cheaper and Ripe For the Taking
Photo: shane o mac/Flickr Starting today, the Apple Store online is offering several new deals on refurbished Macs, and the price difference is good enough that it could force off your mind even the nastiest image of their previous life. Refurbished items are usually those that are returned for any number of reasons (hmm . . .), are tested by the manufacturer, and work like new, but often have an aesthetic dink or two. Among the deals are the newest aluminum iMac 24" PC for $1,900 (17% of regular price), and a $1,450 MacBook Pro 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (almost 30% off), both with 24-hour free shipping and the Leopard OS. Check out the rest of the deals on their refurbished item page right here. (Read the full post about ‘Refurbished Apple Gear is Cheaper and Ripe For the Taking’…)

USB Hub with Clock and Mood Light

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this USB Hub with Clock and Mood Light look like the mac mini?

The design of the USB Hub with clock and mood light is a blend of functionality and simplicity. It is a multi-function USB hub featuring an integrated 7-color mood light. The 7 soft colors will start to illuminate by taking turns the moment the device is powered. It also doubles up as a desk-based alarm clock, waking you up from your afternoon nap and reminding you that there are just three more agonizing minutes to 5 before you can take off from the office.

Sony Turntable Rips And Scratches Vinyl

Until that day, groove-junkies can enjoy the best of vinyl and digital with Sony’s new USB turntable. It has a built in pre-amp, so you can play records directly into the line socket of a modern amplifier, and will also digitize music on the fly and deliver it to your PC via USB.You’ll still need to chop out the individual tracks and hand-roll the MP3s, but it’s vinyl, right?
